Huaxin B86 Max frozen yogurt vending machine in a fitness club reception lounge

Self-Service Frozen Yogurt for Members on Their Way Out

Members finish a class, walk past reception and often want something cold before they leave. A Huaxin frozen yogurt vending machine puts a self-service dessert point on that route without opening a café counter or adding staff. Three models fit fitness and wellness venues: the floor-standing B86 and B86 Max, and the countertop Power7. Members choose on the touchscreen, pay by card or phone, and collect a freshly made cup of frozen yogurt or an açaí-style dessert with the toppings they picked.

This page is written for gym and fitness club operators, yoga and boutique studio owners, sports center managers, healthy food brands and the vending operators who place machines in these venues in the US, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. It covers where the machine sells inside a fitness building, how to build the menu, how members pay, who looks after the machine and which model fits the space. Recipe options and the full machine description are on our frozen yogurt vending machine page.

Where It Sells in Fitness and Wellness Venues

Members buy when they slow down: after a class, while waiting for a friend, or while sitting in the lounge before heading home. On the training floor or next to the changing rooms the machine sees plenty of people and few buyers. Better positions are the route from the changing rooms to the exit, the reception lounge, and the area beside a club café or smoothie bar where people already sit.

Venue

When members buy

Check before placing

24-hour gyms and fitness clubs

After morning and evening sessions, and late at night when reception is closed

Whether the club allows food sales; who can reach the machine during unstaffed hours

Yoga, pilates and boutique studios

In the few minutes after each class, often as a group

Space at reception; whether a countertop Power7 fits better than a floor cabinet

Sports and leisure centers

Around training sessions, matches and lessons, including parents and spectators

Distance from pool halls and wet areas; terms with the center operator

Wellness clubs and spas

In the lounge between treatments or after a session

A finish that matches the interior; avoid warm, humid areas near saunas and steam rooms

Healthy food and lifestyle spaces

Alongside the bowls, juices and coffee already on sale

How the dessert fits the existing menu; whether the brand wants its own wrap and screen design

One of our machines in Ireland stands against the wall of an indoor sports hall, at the edge of the court markings. It sits where people gather but outside the playing area. Wherever the machine goes, it and the space in front of it must keep exits, fire equipment and accessible routes clear, and the club or landlord should approve the position before you sign a location agreement.

Building the Menu

Each machine runs one base mix at a time. In a fitness venue that is usually a frozen yogurt base or an açaí-style base, and the menu grows from it with sauces and dry toppings such as granola, nut pieces or fruit sauce. A venue that wants both an açaí-style cup and a classic soft serve needs two machines. A buyer in Canada set up exactly that: two B86 units, one configured for açaí-style desserts and one for ice cream, each with its own exterior design.

Name each item after what is in the cup: the base, the topping, the sauce and the size. A short list is easier to read for members walking toward the exit. For açaí-style menu examples, see our açaí-style soft serve vending machine page.

How Members Pay

Members pay by contactless card, phone or watch at the card reader, or by QR code where that is the local habit. On B86 and B86 Max, cash modules can be added for a specific currency, though in clubs where members already pay by card or app they are rarely needed. Two questions come up early in gym projects:

• Whose account receives the money. When a vending operator places machines in a club, decide before ordering whether the card terminal is registered to the operator or to the club, and how the club’s share is paid. In the Canadian order mentioned above, terminal account ownership was still being sorted out after the machines had been paid for. For a revenue share, ask us whether your payment setup supports the revenue-sharing function in Master OS; some configurations do, and we check it project by project.

• Charging cups to a membership account. This needs an integration with the club’s membership software and is not a standard function. Send us the software’s interface documents and we will assess it as a software project.

Member offers, such as a promotion after a class, are available in selected Master OS configurations.

Unstaffed Hours, Refills and Cleaning

In a 24-hour club the machine keeps selling after reception closes, provided someone is responsible for it. Plan three routines before launch:

• Refills. B86 and B86 Max hold approximately 20 L of mix and approximately 160 cups; Power7 holds 6 L of mix and approximately 32 cups. Set the refill schedule from real sales after the first weeks. A studio with steady sales through the day can run on a Power7; a busy club with morning and evening peaks is better served by a B86 or B86 Max.

• Cleaning. All three models run a one-touch cleaning program once the operator adds clean water. The dispensing outlet and drip area still need daily cleaning, and the product path is cleaned and taken apart on the schedule in the operating manual. B86 and B86 Max can be ordered with pasteurization and chilled mix holding at 2–6 °C; Power7 does not offer pasteurization.

• Response. Decide who answers a low-supply or fault alert at 6 a.m. or 11 p.m., and make sure that person can get into the building at those hours.

Remote Management Across Clubs

Connected machines report sales, operating status and supply levels to our management platform, and selected settings, such as prices, can be changed remotely; B86 and B86 Max also send fault alerts. For a gym chain or an operator serving several clubs, this shows which club needs a visit next and which locations sell, so refill routes can follow actual demand. Refills, cleaning and repairs still need someone on site.

Choosing B86, B86 Max or Power7

B86 and B86 Max are built on the same B Series platform, with the same production system, capacity and electrical specification. The difference is the front door:

• B86 has a three-panel front with the touchscreen in the center panel and the pickup opening on the left.

• B86 Max has a full-height glass front, so members can see the production area around the screen. Of the two, it is the one certified to NSF/ANSI 6 in the 110 V / 60 Hz configuration, which matters in the US where the local health authority asks for sanitation-certified food equipment.

Power7 is a countertop machine for studios, juice bars and reception counters with no floor space for a cabinet. It has an enclosed pickup port and can be configured with two dry toppings and two sauces. Check that the counter or base cabinet is rated for its weight. To compare the two formats in more detail, see our guide to countertop vs floor-standing ice cream machines.

B86 and B86 Max Configuration

• Floor-standing cabinet: 1950 (H) × 1080 (L) × 940 (W) mm for B86 and 1950 × 1080 × 954 mm for B86 Max; approximately 362 kg and 396 kg

• 32-inch touchscreen for ordering and the club’s or brand’s content

• About 15–20 seconds per serving under standard operating conditions

• One base mix at a time; sauces and dry toppings, with the number of canisters set by configuration

• Automatic cup dispensing and a viewing window onto production

• 220 V / 50 Hz, 1,800 W rated power; 110 V / 60 Hz optional

• 4G or Wi-Fi connectivity, depending on configuration

Power7 Configuration

• Countertop unit: 560 (L) × 826 (W) × 812 (H) mm, approximately 170 kg

• Approximately 13-inch touchscreen

• 220 V / 50 Hz, 1,700 W rated power; 110 V / 60 Hz optional

Machines are built to order. Production takes about 30 days after order confirmation, and we confirm the date in your quotation. For a gym chain, start with one or two clubs to settle the menu, price and refill routine, then plan the rollout; our guide to planning a single-unit pilot or a 10-unit rollout explains the choice. For the cabinet models themselves, see B86 and B86 Max, or compare all Huaxin ice cream vending machines.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

• Payment. Your payment provider confirms the terminal model, accepted cards and wallets, settlement currency and refund handling. We confirm through integration testing that the terminal works with the machine; MDB-compatible payment integration is available, and card and QR payment on Power7 is configured per project. Our payment systems guide lists the questions to ask your provider.

• Mix, toppings and cups. Send us the specification or samples of your mix and toppings, plus the cup dimensions. We test them on the model you plan to order.

• Voltage and frequency. Standard machines run on 220 V / 50 Hz; 110 V and 60 Hz are options that must be fixed before production.

• Certification. Scope differs by model. B86 and B86 Max hold third-party CE certificates of compliance (LVD, EMC, RED), a RoHS certificate and an IECEE CB Test Certificate; NSF/ANSI 6 applies to B86 Max only, as noted above. Power7 holds a CE LVD certificate. Electrical safety certification requirements for North American projects are reviewed before ordering. Ask for the certificate copies for your model and voltage before you submit documents to the club, landlord or inspector.

• Site and network. The club or landlord approves the position and a grounded power outlet close to it. Remote management and most card terminals need a stable data connection. Mobile signal can be weak in basement gyms and club Wi-Fi usually needs IT approval, so test the connection at the exact spot.

• Food rules. Check with your local food authority whether selling from the machine needs registration, and what allergen and nutrition information must be shown. In the US, operators of 20 or more vending machines have calorie-disclosure duties under FDA rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a gym a good location for a frozen yogurt vending machine?

It can be, if members stay long enough to stop and buy and the club allows food sales. A club with a lounge, a café area or a busy reception gives members a reason to pause; a small gym that members leave straight after training gives them less. Test one position at the price you plan to charge before adding machines. Our guide to frozen yogurt vending machine cost and break-even planning shows how to check a single location.

Can we describe the menu as healthy or high-protein?

Describe what is in the cup and leave out promises about weight loss, recovery or other health effects. Terms such as “high protein” or “low fat” are regulated nutrition claims: in the EU they must meet the conditions in Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, and health claims must be on the EU list of authorised claims. Australia and New Zealand apply Food Standards Code Standard 1.2.7, and in the US the FDA sets conditions for nutrient content claims. Use such a term only if your mix supplier’s formula qualifies and your local rules allow it.

Which mix should we use, and can Huaxin supply it?

We don’t sell mix outside China. Operators buy a soft-serve frozen yogurt or açaí-style mix, as powder or ready-to-use liquid, from a supplier that meets local food rules. Sugar content, solids and viscosity vary between suppliers and affect how the dessert freezes and dispenses, so send us the specification or a sample before you commit and we will test it on the machine.

Can the machine add toppings such as granola or nuts?

Yes, if they suit the dispensing system. Dry toppings need a suitable particle size and sauces a suitable flow, so test your granola, nut pieces or fruit sauce on the machine before you print the menu. Nuts, cereals and some sauces contain allergens; show allergen information on the screen or beside the machine as local rules require. In the EU, allergen information is mandatory for food sold without packaging.

How is hygiene handled in a gym?

Treat the machine as food equipment. Keep it away from changing rooms, showers and pool areas, keep the ventilation clearance around it, and name one person responsible for the cleaning log. During a sale, members touch only the screen, the card reader and the cup they collect. Cleaning, mix storage and refill hygiene remain the operator’s responsibility, and pasteurization, where fitted, does not replace routine cleaning.

What partnership models work with gyms, and does Huaxin rent machines?

We sell machines; we don’t rent them. Gym projects are usually set up in one of three ways: the club buys and runs the machine; a vending operator buys machines and places them in clubs under a location agreement with rent or a revenue share; or a healthy food brand places branded machines in partner venues. Distributors also supply local gym chains. In each case, agree who refills, who cleans, who answers alerts and who owns the payment account before the machine arrives.
